Our approach is to use natural treatments whenever possible to reduce the use of chemicals. Our environmentally-friendly pest control, plant and turf fertilization practices start with Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM technicians take preventative methods and use alternative, natural treatments to reduce chemical use and increase green applications.
Pest Control
We utilize natural products such as Diatomaceous Earth whenever possible. We utilize the safest products available for purchase in the industry. Most are safer than common household cleaning items found under your kitchen sink. Our products are safe for people and pets.
Plant and Turf Treatments and Natural Nourishment
We use humates, horticultural oils, and natural soaps whenever possible. Our technicians prepare customized fertilization compounds to provide the most nature-friendly ingredients to keep lawns and plants healthy.
In environmentally-sensitive areas like Sanibel Island, Florida, the City requires technicians to obtain a Vegetation Certificate of Competency with a fertilizer endorsement.
Earning these certificates requires a score of at least 90% on a written test covering the Sanibel vegetation standards as well as 100% accuracy on a field identification test. We always have at least one technician on site at any Sanibel treatment area for fertilization with valid certifications and endorsements.
The Nature Center of Lee County engaged Tempco Pest Control to treat a termite infestation based on our company’s reputation for sound environmental pest control practices.
