About Us

We Put Pests to Rest For Less.

Who We Are

Scott and Mike standing next to Tempco Trucks

Established in 1991, family-owned and operated ever since.

Our goal is to provide environmentally-friendly pest control in a setting large enough to serve all your pest control needs but small enough to offer personal service. Michael Ryan purchased Tempco in 1996. Then, in 1998, he hired Scott Harding, who became his business partner. Scott’s wife, Maria, joined the team in 2009 as the customer service and routing lead. In 2014, Michael’s wife, Laska, came aboard to manage the marketing and human resources aspects of the business. Michael and Laska’s son, Andrew, graduated college in 2019. He endeavors to take the helm of the family business someday – which has been his goal since middle-school when he first asked for business cards in his name!

What We Do

The owners are directly involved in the daily operations and are passionate about providing excellent customer service. Michael and Scott are state-certified in lawn and ornamental; general household pests; rodents and termites. In addition, Michael has earned the certification of Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) from the Entomological Society of America. Tempco Pest Control, Inc. is a proud member of the Florida Pest Management Association.

To Trim Or Not To Trim, That Is The Question

Native trees, especially most palm trees, remained standing after Hurricane Ian. Should I trim the remaining palm trees?

Stop the Buzzing

You hear the high-pitched buzzing of a mosquito start right next to your ear, so you do what seems logical - smack yourself in the ear. Hard.
Millipede squat on floor cement

What ARE those annoying things in my entryway?

Millipedes kind of look like worms, but they have legs – a lot of them. Kind of sort of like a caterpillar, but not fuzzy at all.
